The Story of a Lost Vacation (2021)
EN
In my photo series I'm recalling the idilic feeling of the vacations I had with my family when I was a child, the sort of euphoria I felt on those trips and what I'm sometimes looking for as a grown up (mostly in vain).

Sorozatomban a gyermekkori családi nyaralások idilli hangulatát idézem fel, azt a fajta eufóriát, amit ezeknél az utazásoknál éreztem, és amit felnőttként is (sokszor hiába) keresek.

About
Franciska Legát (1997, Bundapest, Hungary) is a Budapest based photographer. In 2024, she graduated at the Moholy-Nagy University of Arts from Master of Photography. She spent a semester in Germany at the HSBI Bielefeld and in the Netherlands at HKU, Utrecht. As an artist, she is primarily concerned with social issues that have a significant impact on her life. Absurdity and a kind of peculiar black humor play an important role in her works. Her photos are mostly staged, but by using an unusual documentary approach, her purpose is to blur the line between fiction and reality.
